A lot of individuals do not take the required care and treatment they should have taken during their adolescence and unfortunately land up having a much damaged skin. There is although no guarantee that the acne treatment will going to succeed but is helpful in avoiding the breakouts. It also targets the worst affected areas of skin and reduces the long lasting effects that acne leaves on the skin in form of scars. Although there are also ways of reducing the scars that have occurred due to acne but these do not completely eliminate the scars. The success of the scar treatment however, also depends on factors like the age of the person, tolerance levels of the person seeking the scar treatment and the severity of the scars on the skin.
Types of Acne Treatment
Subcision: This technique of acne treatment is used for people who have different types of scars. A lot of people have taken the advantage of this method and results are also very positive. In this scar treatment method the surface level of the scar is raised up to the surface level of the skin so that the entire skin now looks flat. To carry out this procedure many different treatment session are required. It is a painful process and due to repetitive nature, it could result in bruising. The bruising could stay there from seven to ten days. Some people are not able to use this method of treatment. During the healing process as well there could be certain issues of bleeding and if the person immediately wants to go back, it is practically not possible sometimes.
TCA cross: This scar treatment method is used for minor scars left on the skin due to acne. A small quantity of trichloracetic acid is used and is put on every scar. This method looks to help the skin in producing collagen. Again the collagen that is produced due to the method adopted brings the base of the scar from where it is attached and raises it up the surface level of the normal skin.
For persons having deeper damage caused due to scars, there is another method which is used acne treatment. A certain type of synthetic gel is filled in the scars and the scar surface gets even with normal skin once again looking natural and smooth. This procedure involves use of injections to fill in the gel where it is needed to be placed filling in deep scars.
There is another acne treatment method that is used to treat some really serious scarring cases. Scars that can be categorized as ice-pick or boxcar scars have to be treated by using this technique. This is a little painful method and need a little tolerance level on the patients end. In this acne treatment method, the scar itself is removed and then the rest of the skin is sewn leaving behind a very thin scar. When the skin recovers a thin mark is left behind which is nothing in comparison to the previously appearing acne scar.
